The New York Giants have a winning record in the National Football League.

Sadly, that's a headline in and of itself. Believe it or not, Big Blue has not had a winning record since 2016, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. That all changed yesterday afternoon, thanks to a missed field goal from Titans' kicker Randy Bullock, and a gutsy play-call from rookie head coach, Brian Daboll.

The decision to go for two points following a touchdown late in the game was a brave one, but proved to be the correct call, and Giants' fans have been praising their new leader for it ever since.

Following the win, cameras from Fox showed the Giants' locker room celebrating the victory, and it was in that moment that Brian Daboll went from hero, to legend, in Week 1.

Viral Video Shows Giants' Head Coach Dancing with Players After Victory

A video began circulating around Twitter on Sunday evening, immediately following the New York Giants' victory over the Tennessee Titans, featuring the postgame celebration in the New York locker room.

Front and center in the celebration, surrounded by his players, was the Giants' rookie head coach, Brian Daboll. The video below is about as good as it gets:

New York fans went WILD watching this video, as you can see in the comment section below the tweet. Yes, this was only one game, and the G-Men could still go 1-16 this season. That being said, this video shows me one thing: the culture around the team is changing, and it's changing for the better.

Coach Daboll followed up the dancing session with a rousing postgame speech:

It's still extremely early in Brian Daboll's tenure as head coach of the New York Giants, but from what I've seen thus far, it appears as though the team's leadership group selected the correct coach for the task at-hand.

Clearly, based on the video above, the players really like him, and are willing to go to battle for him. A player-coach relationship is a two-way street, however, as the coach has to show the players that HE is willing to go to battle for them.

That concept was proven late in the fourth quarter, when Coach Daboll trusted his offense, and chose to attempt a two-point conversion in order to take the lead, instead of attempting an extra-point for the tie.

He explains his decision here:

These are the kinds of decisions that prove to your players that you trust them, and you believe in their ability to get the job done. If it went wrong, fans and media personalities would've criticized Coach Daboll for weeks for making that decision.

The players, however, would've backed their coach either way. They wanted to win, and so did he, and it shows in their reactions on the sidelines toward the end of the game:

The restoration of the New York Giants will be a long and arduous process, and we're only at the tip of that iceberg in September of 2022. All of that being said, Sunday's victory over Tennessee took heart and character from players and coaches alike, and fans have to like what they've seen through Week 1 of the NFL season.

The 10 New York Giants You Need To Know In 2022

The New York Giants roster is thin. New general manager, Joe Schoen and new head coach, Brian Daboll need these key players to perform well to in order to improve upon last season's dismal 4 win campaign.
