Sad news to report from the Toronto, Canada, stop of the Warped Tour, as a 19-year-old female concertgoer died while in the crowd earlier today (July 15) during the band Chelsea Grin‘s afternoon set.

The young woman, whose name has not been released yet, was found unconscious near the stage around 12:40PM, shortly after the gates opened at Toronto’s Molson Ampitheatre.

Reports state that a fellow concertgoer tried giving her CPR until paramedics arrived to take over, but she was later declared dead after being rushed to Toronto Western Hospital. No cause of death has been announced, but there is no sign of foul play.

The deathcore group Chelsea Grin (pictured above) were onstage at the time of the incident, and expressed their condolences via their Twitter page: “Our hearts go out to the person who died today. We still don’t know everything that happened but it’s no time for jokes on our page.”

Unrelated to the incident, concertgoers were told to evacuate the area and gather under the Molson Ampitheatre’s roof because of severe thunderstorms.

This is the second concert tragedy to happen in Toronto recently. Almost a month ago exactly, on June 16, Radiohead’s drum tech was killed during a stage collapse shortly before the band was set to play Toronto’s Downsview Park.
