These Are The Capital Region Concert Venues That We Miss

We all grew up with some amazing concert venues that we've sadly had to say goodbye to. 

If there's one thing that we live for it's concerts. It's an amazing place for you to see great music and hang out with friends and family. Creating memories at concerts can sometimes be once in a lifetime experiences.

I think that's why some of these venues are cherished and held in such high regard. It makes it all the more painful when we can no longer set foot inside of them.

Sure, times change and nothing last forever, but we still long for those days of seeing our favorite bands at places like Saratoga Winners, Bogies, Northerlinghts or The Starlight.

I remember a chapter of Nikki Sixx's Heroin Diaries being written about an event at the RPI field house. So it's not just us, the concert goer, that is having lasting memories at these special places.

While we can't see shows in these places anymore we can share stories about them. I got to meet Weird Al backstage at the Starlite back in the 90s. I expereinced by first punk show at Valentine's. I sweated my face off at Northernlights at metal shows more times than I can count. I'll never forget meeting the guys from Korn, Anthrax, and countless others at Northernlights.

They may be gone, but we will never forget them.
