How Impressive Was This Preakness Win For Chad Brown?
I was very happy for Chad Brown when his horse Early Voting won the Preakness Stakes on Saturday evening. He ran a good race and won by a decent length. Chad added yet another Preakness to his name and gave what I thought to be a great post race interview live on NBC. This further proves how good of a horse trainer Chad is as yet another one of his horses does really well. The win was even more impressive being that the temperature was around 90 degrees at start time in Baltimore Maryland at Pimlico Race Course. Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:
After the watching the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, Mechanicville trainer Chad Brown sets himself up for the Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course in August. Preakness winner Early Voting and Zandon who ran second in the Derby, are both being pointed to the Mid-Summer Derby, and both are in the midst of outstanding three year old campaigns. The Travers is a race Brown still has yet to win.
MJ and I had on the man himself Chad Brown earlier this morning. The Mechanicville trainer was very excited to say the least. Below is our full interview with him.
I hope Chad has some horses in the Belmont stakes in June and I hope that he can knock off the Travers and have another major stakes race win on his resume. There is nothing better than horse racing season and we are in the midst of it right now.
