The Detroit Lions 2023 season has been the most exciting to watch in my entire life as a fan of the team.

So many great Lions players like quarterback Jared Goff, tight end Sam Laporta, defensive end Aiden Hutchinson, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, and those two running backs Jahmyr Gibbs, and David Montgomery have been exciting to watch.

The coaching staff for the Lions has been solid too with head coach Dan Campbell, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. The problem is, when a team is doing exceptionally well in the NFL, other teams needing players and coaches want to try and grab players and coaches that will fit their team's needs. Unfortunately for the Lions, many teams need a head coach and some have their eyes on one of the Lion's best assets.

I was talking with my dad at the end of the 2022 season and we both agreed it would be a big loss for the Lions if Ben Johnson were to take a head coaching job for another team. Dad was quick to reassure me that he wouldn't be going anywhere for 2023 but we both are not sure if that is the case for 2024.

The Atlanta Falcons have already requested an interview with Johnson and this season isn't over with. Not to mention the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans, and the Washington Commanders all want to speak with him too. As much as I am rooting for Johnson, I selfishly would prefer he stay with the Lions for at least one more season to see this thing through before taking a new gig.

Lions quarterback Jared Goff has nothing but the highest of praise for his working relationship with Johnson and he also shares the fear of his possible departure. As a football coach the ultimate dream is to coach an NFL team and sometimes you have to strike while the iron is hot and wouldn't blame him if he took the right opportunity that works best for him but I'm not gonna lie, this would be devastating for the Lions organization. I guess we will all have to sit in the cheap seats and watch it all unfold in the coming months.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff's $10.5M Mansion

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has a new pad and it is fabulous. The $10.5 million estate is located in Manhattan Beach, California, and it is nothing short of stunning.

The five-bedroom mansion was once owned by Shaquille O'Neal and 'Modern Family' Executive Producer Danny Zuker.
