Fans Roast Rapper ‘Fat Joe’ for Performance Before New York Yankees’ Game
Game 3 of the 2024 World Series lasted for well over three hours, yet for some fans, the game was over before it even began.
This wasn't the fault of Derek Jeter, the long-time captain of the New York Yankees, who threw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium before Game 3 on Monday night.
Jeter's mere presence on the field brought fans to their feet, and his first pitch delivery was met by raucous applause. The mood in the ballpark was positive, and fans were ready to cheer on their favorite team in a crucial game in The Bronx.
That moment, right there, was when everything changed. The Yankees welcomed an additional guest onto the field after Jeter: rapper and South Bronx native, Fat Joe. The musical artist then launched into a rendition of his popular song, All The Way Up.

Needless to say, Fat Joe's performance left much to be desired. The energy in the stadium appeared to die down, and that lull seemed to impact the Yankees from the moment the game began.

In the first inning, Dodgers' first baseman, Freddie Freeman, hit a long two-run home run off of Yankees' starting pitcher, Clarke Schmidt. From that moment on, Los Angeles never looked back, winning the game, 4-2.
