Look! Here’s the New Vision For Legendary Longfellows in Saratoga
Construction begins next month for the legendary Longfellows Hotel and Restaurant to be reimagined as Brookmere Resort. After twenty-five years, Longfellows closed last November.
Who is Reimagining the Property?
SpringCity Development Group plans on building the thirty-million-dollar resort with a spa, restaurant, and hotel. The plan has been in the works for more than three years. The previous owners approached SpringCity to inquire about interest in the Longfellows property according to the Albany Business Review.
What Will The Brookmere Resort Offer?
SpringCity plans to take the sixty-five thousand square-foot complex and change it into a ninety thousand square foot resort. The property is nine acres and is just three miles from the Saratoga Race Course. Brookmere Resort will feature eighty-eight hotel rooms, a ballroom with seating for two hundred, a sixty-five-seat restaurant, and The Arbor Spa.
Hay Creek Will Run the Hotel
The hotel will target both corporate and recreational travelers and of course horse racing fans. The restaurant will attract those customers who will return to dine two, three, and even four times a month instead of just the hotel guests or specialty dining patrons.
Hotel rooms will be around three hundred fifty dollars a night.
Construction will begin next month and the Brookmere Resort is set to open in the fall of 2024.
