New Haunted Attraction Coming This Fall

Halloween season may still be months away, but horror fans in the Capital Region already have something creepy to look forward to this fall.

The creators say haunted events have been part of the property for decades, evolving from an annual event known as “Halloween Scare-a-Thon” into something much bigger and far more immersive.

Like a 1970s Horror Flick

In a social media post shared by the venue, organizers said the goal is to make guests feel like they’re stepping directly into “a grindhouse occult horror film from the 70s or 80s.”

The team behind the attraction also revealed that special effects work inspired by training at Tom Savini’s famous special effects school will help bring the scares to life.

According to the venue, fans can expect cabins, wooded trails, custom-built monsters, and an atmosphere inspired by horror films like “The Evil Dead, and is expected to debut this fall.

Looking for Actors to Join "Scare Crew"

And if you’ve ever wanted to scare the living daylights out of people, the attraction is also looking for actors to join the “scare crew.”

According to the venue, they’re seeking tour guides comfortable with improv, as well as people willing to play zombies, creepy creatures, and other terrifying characters throughout the attraction.

Organizers say the haunted experience is expected to launch at the end of September 2026, but there’s already plenty of work happening behind the scenes as cabins, trails, and monsters are built from scratch.

Anyone interested in joining the seasonal haunt cast is encouraged to contact Terror Behind The Screen on Facebook.
