Last Friday's train derailment in Bridgeport, Connecticut was pretty crazy. Maybe not for you, but for me, most definitely. I'm very familiar with Metro North trains and have ridden out of Norwalk (south of Bridgeport) into the city quite a few times. If you've ever driven up 95 in CT you have most likely seen Metro North commuter trains racing along side.

Roughly 700 were on board with only 72 injured as a train headed to New Haven jumped off it's track and essentially, hit a passing train. Speaking of passing trains, they are literally separated by a few feet as they barrel past one another. This truly could have been much worse with a lot of very lucky people in Connecticut on this Monday.
