Looking for a unique property in Upstate New York? How about a Cold War era decommissioned Missile Silo?

Worried about a nuclear war with Iran or North Korea or even the zombie apocalypses then this is the home for you! Well, if you have a few million dollars to spend. Although it's valued currently at $572,000 on www.realitor.com it sold for $3 million in 2017. It was originally bought in 1997 for $160,000. That's a pretty good return on investment!

Back in the cold war there were a bunch of Atlas Missile silos hidden around the Adirondacks. Once the cold war was over the missiles were decommissioned and a lot of the silos were filled in, but a few weren't and sold to private owners.

This silo home has been listed on www.realitor.com a few times and is the most complete and nicest examples around. It's on 8.5 acres, the missile blast doors still work and there about 3,200 sq feet of living space in the Launch Control Center with a ton of build-able space in the actual 18 story main silo. Just think of the possibilities!

Here are a few more pictures of this unique home in the Adirondacks.
