If you're looking for a pumpkin to carve up this weekend for your children or if you're like me and still carve one while you're in your thirties, I've got a few hot spots for you to pick an orange, seed-filled delight.

Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont. Open 9-6 daily but the "pick your own" pumpkins are closed down. The Farm does have a selection of pumpkins to rock in the market.

Golden Harvest in Valatie. Open from 8-5, I have been known to grab a shopping cart full of pumpkins here myself.

Goold Orchards in Castleton.  Open from 9-5, these guys have hayrides on the weekends according to the website.  Don't lie, you dig that too.

Engelke Farm in Troy.  I've never been here but I'm sure as hell going to go!  Their website says you can pick your own pumpkin from 10-5 by taking a hayride to the patch or by taking a zip line!  Zip lines run from 11-5 and costs $20 per person. They also have a haunted corn maze as well.  How has Monte missed out on this!?

Walmart.  Believe it or not, I found some amazing pumpkins at Walmart.  I paid $3.88 for a big one!  You lose the fun of on a zip line and picking your own pumpkin out, but hey, they're less than four bucks.

Will you be carving a pumpkin for Halloween and stating it's for your two year old newphew like me?

My pumpkin is drinking a beer.
