
Man Survives Horrifying Car Crash Over Embankment In Upstate New York
One man is lucky to be alive after the vehicle he was driving careened over an embankment, slid down a steep hill filled with trees and was rocketing straight toward another roadway before coming to a stop just 70 feet from traffic.
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) officers and local police responded to the crash site in Upstate New York in an attempt to save the individual. Take a look at the pictures below to see just how lucky this driver was.

On Monday February 3rd around 12 Noon, according to a press release, New York State Forest Rangers and Ontario County Sheriff's Department responded to an accident in South Bristol, NY where a car was driven over an embankment.
Upon arrival it was determined that officials needed to call in Canandaigua Advanced Life Support (CALS) to assist with this rescue attempt. The CALS team was able to secure the driver in a litter.
As you can tell from the pictures, the conditions were slick with snow and ice. An attempt to carry the individual out using manpower could have proven to be more detrimental. A rope rescue was then employed.
New York State Forest Rangers and the Ontario County High Angle Team worked with Ontario County Sheriff's Department to pull the subject to the roadway. The individual was then placed in an ambulance. This picture gives you a better look at just how lucky this person was.
