
Road Rage Incident Involving A Knife, Gun and An Off-duty New York Police Officer
A road rage incident, involving a knife, a shooting, and an off-duty Kingston, New York police officer sends one person to the hospital.

On Thursday December 11th, at approximately 3:45pm, troopers from the New York State Police Middletown barracks responded to a reported shooting in the Town of Wawayanda, NY.
Troopers discovered a road rage incident between the driver of a 2020 Volkswagen and a 2021 Toyota pickup truck. It appears the driver of the Volkswagen got out of his vehicle and approached the driver of the Toyota. The 2 drivers were arguing with each other at the driver’s side window of the Toyota. That is when the Volkswagen driver pulled out a knife.
Once the Volkswagen driver pulled a knife, the driver of the Toyota discharged his firearm, striking the Volkswagen driver. The individual with the gun was later identified as 33-year-old off-duty Kingston Police Officer Anthony Simon.
The Volkswagen driver was identified as identified as 31-year-old Wallace F. Fisher of Middletown, NY. Fisher was initially transported to Garnet Health Medical Center but was ultimately transferred to Westchester Medical Center where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
