
Urgent: Help New York State Police Recover This Stolen Dirt Bike

This case of a stolen dirt bike took place in Columbia County in the early morning hours of Friday June 27th. Later that same day, what appeared to be the same bike, was spotted traveling southbound on Interstate 87 in the Newburgh area. Take a look at the pictures below.

New York State Police out of Troop K are seeking the public's help in locating a stolen dirt bike and identifying any individuals that may have been involved in this theft. This bike was reported stolen at approximately 4:40am on Friday June 27th.
The bike in question is said to be a blue 2023 Yamaha YZ250F that was being stored at a residence in Livingston, New York. Based on the image below, this bike was well taken care of and looked brand new.
Not only is the theft of this dirt bike illegal but, according to the New York State Department of Transportation, riding a dirt bike on Interstate 87 is also illegal.
You cannot register or operate any mini-bike dirt bike, golf cart or go-kart style motorized devices on any street, highway, parking lot, sidewalk, or another area in New York State that allows public motor vehicle traffic. You may be arrested if you do.
