New York State Police Seek Your Help, Do You Know This Individual?

New York State Police out of Troop C are asking for your help in locating an individual accused of robbing a woman at knifepoint. The State Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident, was in the area at the time or that may have surveillance video to share. The suspect is described as a "skinny black male, wearing a face covering and a tan/beige sweatshirt and jeans". See photos below.

On Tuesday September 12th at approximately 10am, according to a press release, New York State Police responded to a report of a robbery at Cortland Carpet Outlet on State Route 281 in the town of Cortlandville.

The suspect allegedly held a knife to a female victim while making his demands. The victim reports that she suffered cuts to her hands as a result of the robbery.

As you can see, the still images captured are not very clear. New York State Police are asking those in the area to check home and business surveillance that shows a skinny black male walking in the area between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and wearing a tan/beige sweatshirt with jeans.
