Rob Zombie,  the rock star who turned movie director has directed all his music videos and most recently the remakes of the Halloween movies plans to direct a new horror film called 'The Lords Of Salem'.   Meg Foster recently announced that she joined the cast to play a part in the new movie and Rob also gave a more complete outline of the plot.  Meg Foster will play Margaret Morgan as the leader of witches in Salem.  Meg previously appeared in such films as John Boorman's "The Emerald Forest", Sam Peckinpah's "The Osterman Weekend" and John Carpenter's "They Live".

As for the plot of the film, Zombie revealed.

There were twenty people that everyone knows about — obviously all innocent — executed as witches in Salem . . . there were a further four who actually were witches, who were killed secretly, and vowed one day to return to wreak havoc on Salem's descendants. That's when the movie jumps ahead to the present day and things start to go wrong.

He also said that he is no longer involved in the remake of the blob but still would to make a biker film, a western and a remake of Frankenstein.

Filming for The Lords of Salem will begin soon with a release in October of 2012.
