Nickelback’s Mike Kroeger Is Selling His Maui House for $4.88 Million
Mike Kroeger, the bassist for Nickelback, has placed his house on Maui's exclusive North Shore on the market. He is asking $4.88 million for the property.
According to the Los Angeles Times, which calls it a "retreat," the 5,000-square-foot house features four bedrooms -- including a guest bedroom with its own entrance above the garage -- and four and a half bathrooms. It sits on a cliff, with views of the ocean throughout. Between the house and the ocean are a spa, fire pit and infinity pool; the living room spills out onto the patio.

The listing is held by Island Sotheby’s International Realty, though there is no mention of it on the real-estate company's website.
Kroeger co-founded Nickelback in Hanna, Alberta, Canada, in the mid-'90s with his brother Chad, who leads the band. They have released nine albums, six of which have gone platinum. They've also scored Top 10 hits with "Someday," "Photograph" and "How You Remind Me," which hit No. 1.
Earlier this year, the band was referenced in a Saturday Night Live sketch, where the lyrics to "How You Remind Me" turned out to be the last words uttered by an elderly woman (played by Melissa Villasenor) on her deathbed. "I've heard a lot of last words," a paramedic tells the grieving family. "But your mom's kicked the most ass."
