What a difference a couple of years makes. It was always pretty astonishing this hotel would close down, based on its prime location. But, the Park Manor hotel in Clifton Park has sat empty for over two years.

The four story building is located at the very busy intersection of Route 9 and 146 in Clifton Park. The hotel shut down back in 2019 after filing bankruptcy and a mortgage foreclosure, according to the Albany Business Review. Since then, it had lingered with a giant sign announcing new owners were needed.

In an update from the Business Review, the hotel now has new owners, who have made significant improvements in a very short amount of time. Ravinder Chopra, Vinod Chand and Raman Aggarwal purchased the hotel in early 2022 for around $6.5 million.

They say the hotel was plagued with a number of problems, including a pipe that burst, an indoor pool that need a serious cleaning after standing water sat for two years, and multiple rodents making a home there.

Still, the new owners were able to renovate and make improvements quickly, and the hotel began welcoming back guests in April. This coming weekend, thanks to the track opening, they are at capacity. The pool has also been cleaned up and is expected to reopen shortly.

The hotel ballroom, which can accommodate nearly 400 people, has also begun hosting events and the in-house restaurant Seven - An American Bistro, is expected to reopen in August.

The Business Review says room rates are currently between $89 and $179 per night.

Abandoned Ramada Hotel in Lake George is Eerie as Hell

According to the description, this video was taken in the summer of 2021. It claims to be of the former Ramada Hotel in Lake George, although a couple different hotels/motels have sported the Ramada name over the years, it's not clear which one this is. Looking back at some property transactions, it may be a Ramada that eventually become known as the Lake View Inn and Conference Center, located on Route 9N off Northway exit 21. Since no footage looks to have been taken around the building, it's difficult to confirm that. The last photo taken by Google Maps has the road leading to the hotel roped off, so more than likely it's the same place. Perhaps some locals or former guests may recognize the property?

Still, some pretty interesting finds as the explorers take us on a tour of the hotel. It appears all the remaining items in the rooms were pushed out into the parking lot. Old TV's, mattresses, bedding and vending machines line the hotel in the parking lot in a large junk pile.

Inside, the sun room had clearly seen better days - that may have been a restaurant. We can also see a bathroom (urinals) and what appears to be the kitchen. The first floor looks to have been almost completely gutted, so maybe there are plans for this place?

WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.
