Queensbury Moose Sighting Caught On Video

Do you remember the opening credits to the 1990's television show Northern Exposure? Many of the shots featured a moose wandering around this quiet town in Alaska. I always thought it was staged because that never happens, right? Well it happened right here in Warren County.

I have been on the lookout for moose since I was a teenager. I was able to see one while on a family trip down south but not since. Each daytrip to the Adirondacks, the Berkshires, or Vermont I am hoping to see this mythical creature.

On Wednesday August 12th News Channel 13 WNYT shared a video of a moose quickly strolling along Queensbury Avenue, near Floyd Bennett Airport, in Queensbury, NY. Video credit to Matt Petteys.

Some of the best places to spot moose in New York include the Adirondacks where the majority of moose sightings occur in the Empire State. More specifically Vermontville, NY, along Route 3, and Meacham Lake along Route 30 are 2 of the best places to find moose.
