Watch out Madge, Shinedown is coming for ya! With the release of their latest disc ‘Amaryllis,’ Shinedown debuted in the No. 4 slot on the Billboard 200 — marking their highest chart debut to date. Who knows? Maybe next week they can uproot the ‘Material Girl’ herself and replace Madonna in the top slot overall helping rock reign supreme!

That’s just the beginning of the good news for the rockers though; ‘Amaryllis’ also landed in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Rock Albums chart, and No. 3 on the Digital Albums chart, while their first single ‘Bully’ is holding tight at No. 1 on rock radio. Back in January, frontman Brent Smith challenged rock fans to rise up — calling for a rock ‘n’ roll revolution. We guess this is what you would call leading by example. All in all you could say it’s been a successful week for Shinedown!

Following up their last release, 2008’s ‘The Sound of Madness,’ ‘Amaryllis’ sold 106,000 units its first week, paving the way for their new personal best. For comparison, ‘The Sound of Madness’ debuted in the No.8 spot with 50,000 units sold.

With the album now out, Shinedown are now bringing their new music to the masses by headlining this year’s Avalanche Tour. The run takes them through late April and they’re joined by Adelitas Way, New Medicine and Art of Dying. Check out all the dates here and congratulations boys!
