Soundgarden Announces North American Tour

Rumors are that they are close to finishing a new cd too. On January 1st 2010 Soundgarden announced that they were getting back together, but they only performed 3 shows all last year. The only thing they gave us to listen to was an unused track from the Badmotorfinger disc that they hyped as something new.

The song Black Rain was cool, but it wasn’t new. I love Soundgarden but was a little disappointed in the angle they used of presenting something “New”. It probably wasn’t their fault though. I’ll bet the record label was responsible for the misrepresentation. So here we are over a year later and the news is that they should be done with their new cd by May. It doesn’t mean that’s when it will be out, but when we word of a release date we’ll gladly pass info along. I’m sure it will be soon as they have booked a couple shows already. Here’s what they have so far.

July 2 – Toronto, ON @ Molson Canadian Amphitheatre

July 13 – Philadelphia, PA @ Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing

July 18 – Morrison, CO @ Red Rocks Amphitheatre

July 22 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Forum
