We knew the first big snowstorm of the season was inevitable, and it looks like it's on the way next week.

There is snow in the forecast for Mother's Day weekend...yes, you heard me right I said snow.

Looks like wet and mild this weekend and more snow next week.

On Friday, tomorrow we get the third kind of snow storm, a clipper system coming in from the west and bringing snow back to Upstate New York.

As we enjoy these last few warm September days, we know what is right around the corner. But how soon are we likely to get our first snow?

June is finally here and we are moving in to prime weather here in Upstate New York. Just how warm will it get this month?

For Albany area residents there is a touch of a silver lining with Sandy as the National Weather Service in Albany has stated that we should see more wind rather than rain when Sandy hits late Monday  and early Tuesday. Irene dumped around six inches of rain on the area but Sandy is expected to only bring between one and two inches.

It is winter in Albany after all and so we shouldn't be surprised when we get snow but alas we generally are. The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Weather Advisory.
