Local rockers ThE BLiSTeRZ have teamed up with Ebay and The American Cancer Society in order to raise funds and help those in need. Starting today there will be a week-long auction and the winner will receive an original song written by the band and all of the winning bid's proceeds will be donated to the society. It's for a great cause and in return the winner will get a once-in-a-lifetime gift- contributing to a cure and having a song written in their honor.

The BLiSTeRZ are a male trio hailing from Albany, NY featuring vocalist Dave Graham who is very active in the giving world. Every year he helps plan a big party that benefits autism and autism awareness and he is also a loyal fan of Q103 and frequently sports his cut-off shirt while performing. I met Dave awhile back when he performed with The Erotics and SEX SLAVES and he is all about having a good time and making people happy. His band's music is catchy and fun mixed with a witty banter that matches his personality. Never taking life too seriously, Dave strives to make the world a better place through his music and generous soul.

The auction is being offered via music blogger William AKA Wildy Haskell whose family and friends have been touched by cancer many times. According to the media release:

All profits from this auction will be donated to The American Cancer Society through Wildy's Relay for Life team The Cave Crashers who will be participating in the Geneva , NY Relay for Life on June 28-29, 2012.

The eBay auction begins tonight at 8 pm and concludes June 14 at 8 pm. The item number is 221040001467 and wildysworld is the eBay seller ID. Remember, the winning bidder will receive an original song by ThE BLiSTeRZ who will determine the lyrics by the information the winner provides in a survey in which they will state their wishes for the song. The band will then transform the information into a unique tune.

You can catch ThE BLiSTeRZ live tomorrow night at Savannah's Dublin Underground as they will once again open up for The Erotics and SEX SLAVES. The fun starts at 8 pm and it is a 21+ show. If you've never heard their music then it is a great opportunity to preview what you will be bidding for.
