The New Electric City Trolley Begins FREE Service Around Schenectady

Free shuttle service begins around Downtown Schenectady via the Electric City Trolley this afternoon!

Remember a couple of weeks back when we filled you in on the new FREE shuttle service in Albany called the Capital City Shuttle and how we mentioned that the Capital District Transit Authority were in the process of getting a similar service up and running the Schenectady?

Well, the new Electric City Trolley begins running today and the best part is it is totally FREE! The trolley will have stops throughout Schenectady that include:

Rivers Casino & Resort, Mohawk Harbor, the Schenectady Public Library, Hampton Inn, The Stockade, Amtrak Station, Proctors, Little Italy, State Street, Lower Union Street, DoubleTree Hotel and Courtyard Marriott.

and will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 4:00 p.m. and stopping at 1:00 a.m. with a shuttle coming every 20 minutes. You can even use the CityFinder app to track shuttle location and detailed points of interest. You can download the app available for iOS | Android .
