The Top 5 Resurrection-Themed Rock Collaborations I'd Like to See

With the Easter Holiday upon us this weekend, it had me thinking about the idea of "resurrections." Of course, working in music, and with my quirky train of thought, it led me to think about what collaborations I would love to see, if I had the chance to resurrect any artist. Clearly if artists could be resurrected, the possibilities are endless, so it was tough to limit. But here's who I'd love to see rock together!

Because really, Weezer has a hit song named after the guy. How could you not want to see them collaborate!

Jim Morrison and Marilyn Manson
Because during the month of October, my music is a constant repeat of "People are Strange" and anything Marilyn Manson. I would love to see what kind of delicious classic rock-darkness-hybrid music they could conjure up together

Jimi Hendrix and Papa Roach
Because every time I hear Papa Roach's new single "Help" I can't help but superimpose some Hendrix guitar licks in my head. And to be honest, it may sound like a weird collaboration, but in my head it sounds pretty epic.

Kurt Cobain and the Foo Fighters
Of course, Dave Grohl started the Foo Fighters after the tragic death of Nirvana vocalist Kurt Cobain. But I would be so intrigued to see what they would all sound like playing together in current times if Kurt Cobain could be resurrected. Or maybe it's just my own hopes of what Nirvana would sound like if Kurt was still around and he and Dave Grohl were still playing together...

Avenged Sevenfold and Freddie Mercury
Talk about high pitch, theatrical, epic, no holds barred rock. Between Freddie's legendary status, stage presence, and vocal range, and Avenged Sevenfold's energy and rock opera sound, this would truly rock. The music lovechild of this collaboration would be something I'd die to see.
