I love staying in an Airbnb.

I've had some really great experiences where the Airbnb we rented was the perfect combination of charm, beautiful location, and amenities for me and my family. However, I've also made some mistakes and rented something that could only be described as a real "S-Hole". Luckily, if you follow Airbnb ratings, you usually get a rental that you're pretty happy with.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the highest-rated Airbnb in New York is going to be a home run when it comes to a weekend getaway. In fact, the listing claimed that it's "A relaxing haven for those looking to get away from the city for a few days and enjoy great views, foliage, and close proximity to antiquing, hiking, cycling, and fishing." That sounds like a pretty perfect rental getaway to me.

According to a story in the Times Union, one Airbnb in New York is the best of the best. It's the highest-rated Airbnb in the state and it's not even really fancy or expensive to stay there. It's only about two hours from the Capital Region and it's described as a " private country chic one-bedroom apartment with its own entrance and patio area." If it wasn't already perfect enough, they even allow dogs and provide puppy towels for guests.
