Happy Birthday today (Nov. 10) to Sixx A.M. guitarist (ex Guns N' Roses) DJ Ashba. He's 44. Also celebrating Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (69).

DJ Ashba is the current lead guitarist of Sixx:A.M. (Nikki Sixx’ from Motley Crue’s band.) He was lead guitarist in Guns N ‘ Roses from 2009 to 2015. He was announced as new lead guitarist in the band March of 2009, replacing Robin Finck, who left the band to rejoin Nine Inch Nails. Ashba first played with Guns N’ Roses as part of the band’s Chinese Democracy Tour in 2009 and appears on the band’s 2014 Appetite for Democracy dvd release. He announced that he would be leaving Guns N' Roses to commit fully to Sixx:AM in July of 2015. The band is currently on tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown in support of their album Prayers for the Damned, Vol. 1. A new album entitled Prayers for the Blessed, Vol. 2 will be out Nov. 18.

Greg Lake was the singer and bassist for King Crimson before joining Emerson, Lake, & Palmer. He has also recorded as a solo artist, scoring a major hit in 1975 with the holiday classic, “I believe in Father Christmas”.
