George Lynch is considered on of the most popular and influential 80’s metal guitarists and is known for his unique playing style and sound. He gained popularity in the 1980’s as lead guitarist with Dokken and the band had a string of successful platinum selling albums like Under Lock and Key and Back for The Attack (which featured Lynch’s instrumental, signature song “Mr. Scary.”) He went on to have success with the band Lynch Mob.

In 2016, Loudwire.com reported it was announced that the original Dokken lineup would be reuniting for a run of shows in Japan. The band also played one U.S. warm up date in Sioux Falls, S.D prior to the Japan dates. Cheers to the always rockin George Lynch on his birthday! One of the great 80's metal guitarists.

George Lynch has various projects these days including Lynch Mob. KXM is a band that features Lynch along with Ray Luzier of Korn and Doug Pinnick of King's X. He also has a project with singer Michael Sweet of Stryper called Sweet & Lynch. For info on George Lynch and his various projects, check out his official website here.
