Top Ten Time Travel Movies

On The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show they guys went over a list of the 'best time travel movies of all time.' Back To The Future took the number 1 spot and it is no surprise, I agree with that. I do not agree with the rest of the list that they went over though, so I did what any American would do, I made my own list. 

I could not find the list that they were referencing on The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show because I was not paying attention.

The Butterfly Effect made this list and that is how you know that this is a bad list.

Here is mine:

10. Terminator 2; Judgement Day.

I don't feel that T2 can be considered a time travel movie, the machines do travel back in time and the plot is about altering the future. I don't feel that there is enough time traveling going on though.

9. Peggy Sue Got Married.

Uh oh, it's a 'Chick Flick' but a time traveling 'Chick Flick' from the 80's featuring a very young Jim Carrey and Nicholas Cage. After you get over that, it is a interesting story.... if you're a woman.

8. Millennium. 

This one is true science fiction, the plot is so twisted that you won't know what is going on. I still don't, this movie scared me when I was a kid because I have no idea what is going on in this movie.

7. Hot Tub Time Machine.

I liked Hot Tub Time Machine because of all the references and cameos. Did you know that the guy that Rob Corddry loses the bet to is actually Johnny from The Karate Kid? 

6. Time Cop.

This is actually my favorite Van Damme movie, because the plot is so much fun, unfortunately for Van Damme they could of got any action star from the 90's to be the lead in this one. In my opinion the best part about this movie is that Mia Sara from Legend and Ferris Bueller's Day Off gets completely naked.

5. Freejack.

Emilo Estavez, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo and Mick Jagger!!!!! COME ON! and as an added bonus when the ending credits role they play the Scorpions. This movie is so 90's Sci-Fi it hurts!

4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3. 

The Turtles in ancient japan. Enough said.

3. Time Bandits

Its a Terry Gilliam movie, there is no way to describe how awesome this movie is using words.

2. Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure.

I told you all to watch this movie and remember Alex Winter to avoid the Nuclear Alex Winter. Keep watching it or it will snow again. I don't care what anyone has to say about this movie, it is the greatest. What makes it so great is that its fun, it is not very smart, the acting is not the greatest, but the movie is mindless, moronic, fun from beginning to end. It is also has one of the greatest soundtracks ever!

This movie is a part of my childhood, your childhood, America's childhood. Some people can recite this movie from beginning to end. Why is this movie the greatest time travel movie of all time? Because; " You don't need money, don't take fame, don't need a credit card to ride this train. It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes but it might just save your life." - Huey Lewis.
