There are quite a few really great steakhouses in the Capital Region. None of which are Brazilian.

Now first things first. I was wondering what makes a Brazilian steakhouse any different than a typical steakhouse. I went searching throughout google and everything seems to point to the fact a Brazilian steakhouse is more of an experience. But that is where this new joint on Central Avenue will be even more unique. I've read that many of them are a buffet style deal. Not this one.

In fact, Times Union is saying that should even make it cheaper. The owner of the restaurant to be named simply Brazilian Steak House says it will be significantly cheaper than a comparable restaurant Texas De Brazil inside Crossgates which is a buffet style eatery.

Brazilian Steak House is eying an early March opening. The location is kitty-corner to the new Cumberland Farms on Central. Directly across the street from Dunkin Donuts. It will inhabit the former building Mia Lucca's Wood Fired Pizzeria called home.
