WARNING! There is a product recall in 27 States, including New York, due to possible allergen. Consuming certain units of Lactaid milk could cause a reaction to those with an allergy or sensitivity to almonds. In some cases, these could be life-threatening reactions if consumed.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have announced that HP Hood LLC have recalled select units of 96oz refrigerated Lactaid milk products, potentially containing trace amounts of almond not listed on the label. Here's what to look for.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The affected 96oz containers of Lactaid milk were shipped to retailers and wholesalers from September 5, 2024 and September 18, 2024 located in Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York to name a few.

This issue was discovered as a result of routine maintenance programs which revealed the potential for trace amounts of almond.

Look for the items pictured above. These are 96oz plastic containers of refrigerated Lactaid milk with the code 51-4109 P2 with a Best By Date listed between November 22nd and December 5th. The code and Best By Date can be found in the center-top area of the container.
