Amanda Seyfried Supports Local Cinema With Generous Donation
Famous actress, and Hudson Valley resident, Amanda Seyfried makes a donation to a boutique movie theater in Rhinebeck, NY.
Oscar nominee, Amanda Seyfried, best known for her roles in Mama Mia, Mank, Mean Girls, and Les Miserables made a donation to Upstate Films' Starr Cinema, located at 6415 Montgomery Street, in Rhinebeck, NY.

In January, actress Amanda Seyfried was attending a screening of her latest film, 'The Testament of Ann Lee', at Starr Cinema in Rhinebeck. While waiting for a question and answer period to begin, according to The Daily Freeman, Seyfried asked why the lobby was all torn apart.
Jason Silverman, Co-executive Director of Starr Theatre, indicated that they are in the process of fixing up the theatre to make it better. Seyfried responded by asking how she could help.
This place is a beacon. It's cozy, it feels good. We need to sit together and watch art. I know, yes, streaming just definitely keeps you at home, but it's a freezing cold night and you are getting so much more out of being together than you are being home alone. I don't know what to say but it's pretty sexy here. - Amanda Seyfried on the Starr Cinema
