As of right now the country is in a really tough spot. Not only is the federal government shutdown, affecting the paychecks for millions of Americans, now it looks like one of the nation's largest employers is cutting vearlyover 30,000 jobs.

Amazon announced earlier this week they would be firing 27,000 of their corporate employees. They say that it is just a small number of their over 1.5 million total employees, but a decent chunk of their corporate staff.

What's the reason behind these layoffs? Amazon says that it's eliminating managers because they currently have too many of them. They also said in an official statement that they will use AI to innovate their current workspaces to eliminate jobs they don't need to be filled by a human.

This generation of AI is the most transformative technology we’ve seen since the Internet, and it's enabling companies to innovate much faster than ever before...

Will it impact deliveries?

Since it doesn't appear that Amazon is firing anyone on that level, I have to assume that your deliveries will happen as they usually do. Time will tell if they continue to reduce their workforce if it will end up impacting customers. Amazon did state that the 27,000 affected employees are be given 90 days to find other roles within the company.
