Bandstand Brew Works Is All About Bringing The Community Together
There was a very famous television show where folks would gather together at a bar and enjoy a drink or two and everyone knew their names. If you don't get that reference you're probably too busy yelling "6-7" at the top of your lungs. I'm of course referring to "Cheers." The thing that always struck me about that show was that everyone there was like a little community. That is exactly what the folks of Bandstand Brew Works strive to be like as well. As a matter of fact that's exactly where their name comes from.
Bandstand Brew Works has been in their Warrensburg, NY location for about a year and a half, Laurie and Adam Langworthy told me, and it has been a really fun ride for both of them, plus Laurie's husband Darby. All three of them own, operate, and brew the beer made right here in Upstate New York.
Their story goes that the Bandstand in Warrensburg is where the community came to gather, and that was very important to them. That's why they named their product after that. In Warrensburg there is a famous bandstand named for Floyd Bennett. It's been part of their hometown since 1929, and now Bandstand Brew Works is a big part of the town as well.
Recently I had a chance to try a few of their outstanding beers - The Burgh Lite, The Elevator Operator IPA, The 11 Churches Farnhouse Ale, and the Loggers & Joggers coffee stout. Each one was unique and incredible and they'll be bring them directly to you to sample at the Saratoga Beer Summit. My personal favorite of the four I got to sample was the Loggers & Joggers.
