A ‘strong’ probable culprit has been announced by health officials for the string of vaping-related illnesses.

I read about the announcement on cbs 6 albany, but it was officially announced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  Vitamin E acetate, an additive in THC-containing products- was named as the probably cause for recent vaping-related illnesses.

According to the report by cbs 6 albany, Vitamin E acetate was found in lung samples of 29 patients nation-wide. It was also reported to have been found in E-Cig and Vap juice/liquid from people who became sick.  It’s not definitive that this is the cause, but it is reported to be a strong culprit.  People are being urged by the CDC to avoid the THC-containing products, especially informal ones (aka don’t buy black-market stuff).  You can read more details about it here.
