Dannemora Escape Accomplice Let Out On Parole

The infamous Joyce Mitchell, who helped two inmates and murderers escape from Clinton Correctional Facility, was released from prison.

In one of the biggest news stories of the past decade, Joyce Mitchell- who was an employee of the prison- helped aid the inmates escape in a convoluted employee-gone-bad-love-affair type story.  Followed of course by a 22 day search for the inmates which made national news.  The story itself even spawned a mini-series "Escape at Dannemora".

Joyce Mitchell was previously denied parole three times at least, and had been incarcerated on charges including promoting prison contraband and criminal facilitation.  In my own terms, the woman had a prisoner love-affair and helped murderers escape.  According to abc news, she has to be supervised in Franklin County for only a few more years, until June 2022.  You can read more about it all here.
