Not sure what to do for Father's Day this weekend? That's right- in case you forgot, Father's Day is this Sunday, the 17th. Well, not to worry because there are tons of fun and easy ideas for ways to celebrate Father's Day around the Capital Region. Here's five of our picks!

Head to 'Dad Fest'
A festival dedicated to Dad's for free in Washington Park? That's "Dad Fest"! Head down to Washington Park starting at 1pm on Sunday for some live music, a car show, sports, and fun. There's a bounce house and other activities for kids if you have them in tow, and hundreds of cars driving for the car show. Get all the info here!

Go Beer Tasting
What goes better with dad's than beer (Well, with some dad's at least). So why not take your dad out for your very own beer-tasting. With lots of breweries in the Capital District, like the Albany Pump Station and Druthers Brewing, you can take your dad out and spend some time sampling all of the various beers and enjoying the day. Just make sure you have transportation arranged!

Catch Some Arena Football
Celebrate Father's Day a little bit early with an Albany Empire game on Saturday! This weekend, the Empire are taking on the Philadelphia Soul, with kickoff at 6 pm. It's a home game at the Times Union Center, so you can catch some arena football, have some excitement, and then let Dad spend the next day relaxing!

Have a Fishing Day
If your dad is anything like my dad, fishing is a great and easy way to spend Father's Day. Around the Capital District, there are TONS of fishing spots. Depending what you're going for, you can go anywhere from the Hudson River to creeks and streams. You've got your pick from Six Mile Waterworks Park to the Tivoli Lake Preserve to more, and there's no doubt an outdoors dad will enjoy some time fishing.

Catch a Car Show in Scotia
This Sunday is the 19th annual 'Cruisin' on the Avenue Father's Day Car Show' in Scotia. Free for spectators, the event features cars from the 1950's and up, plus music, food vendors, and entertainment for kids. Get all the info here!
