What better way to get a weekend started then with National Beer Day! I say we celebrate all weekend.

April 7th is National Beer Day! Just so happens that April 7th is today and luckily for us this year it falls on a Friday so we can totally celebrate all weekend!

To be honest I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to partake in the celebration this year after attending a beer fest two days in a row last weekend. However, I dried out for a few days and did some recuperating and now I'm ready to enjoy copious amounts of delicious malty hoppy goodness!

According to NationalDayCalendar.com April 7th was chosen because:

On April 7, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt took the first step toward ending Prohibition and signed a law that allowed people to brew and sell beer, in the United States, as long as it remained below 4.0% alcohol by volume (ABV).  Beer drinkers celebrated and were happy to be able to purchase beer again for the first time in thirteen years.

They also offer up a few suggestions on how to celebrate but I think that we can handle this one on our own. However, if you want to learn more about National Beer Day (and how to celebrate) you can click HERE.

Now lets get this weekend started and celebrate accordingly! I'll see you at Happy Hour!
