Help New York State Police Find This Stolen Trailer
Whatever happened to "what's mine is mine, what's yours is yours"? There was a time when neighbors respected your privacy and kept an eye out for you. I would like to think that the majority of the people we know still have our best interests in mind so maybe you can help a fellow New Yorker get his property back.
Some one, perhaps a group of individuals allegedly entered private property, hitched a trailer that didn't belong to them to a vehicle and stole the trailer. Now New York State Police Troop E are asking for assistance from the public. Do you have any information regarding this case?
In the late night hours of Monday August 5th into the early morning hours of Tuesday August 6th, according to a post of the New York State Police Facebook page, a trailer was stolen in the area of State Route 31 in the town of Galen, NY.
Take a look at the stolen trailer, pictured below, to see if anything looks familiar. For one it looks like the trailer may have been parked in the spot for quite a while. Second, it's kinda cool and I'm sure the actual owner would like it back. Not to mention the contents that might be inside the trailer.
According to Saland Law, stealing any vehicle worth $100 or more is automatically considered a felony. Whether this trailer is classified as a vehicle or not is to be determined. Should you have any information regarding this trailer please contact New York State Police at 315-946-3040 or crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
