Police are warning of heroin paraphernalia being found in public restrooms around the Saratoga area.

According to saratogian.com, police have received numerous calls from people finding heroin paraphernalia in public places including public restrooms in retail stores, convenience stores, fast food restaurants, and recreational areas and are asking the public to be cautious in regards the sightings. In a statement, police said  "The safety of the individual or individuals who comes across these items is our main concern here. Educating ourselves and inspecting an area beforehand could possibly prevent an accident from happening." Police also stated that they don't believe the items were left behind with ill-intent, but it is a public safety and health concern. The items found typically include a syringe, spoon, and envelopes.

Police urge anyone that finds these items to notify the owner of the establishment and their local authorities.
