Jeff Goldblum Filming New Movie in the Capital Region and Looking for Extras
You will need to be a fairly clean canvas (if you know what I'm saying) for a chance to be in this one though.
Jeff Goldblum has starred in some pretty big blockbuster hits like 'Independence Day' and 'Jurassic Park' but it is his current project that has got Upstate New York buzzing.
Jeff has been shooting an indie flick throughout Upstate New York for the last couple of weeks. He has been spotted filming and chatting up locals in the Syracuse area around SU but that is not the only spot in Upstate where filming will be taking place.
According to Syracuse.com the film will be called 'The Mountain' and starrs Jeff Goldblum who plays "a famous neurologist in the decline of his career. He takes a shy young man (Tye Sheridan) on a tour of rural mid-century mental hospitals, trying to reclaim his former glory. In the shadow of the doctor's crisis, the young man becomes infatuated with a patient and her father."
The film will be shooting in Albany this week and is actually looking for a couple of locals to fill some parts! If you are interested you can submit a current photo, your clothing sizes and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org and add your sag-aftra number. If you are non-union, they need to how many taft-harley's you have and what your sag-aftra status is. For more info, visit Hudson Valley Casting on Facebook.
They are looking for men and women to film various hospital scenes but because it is a period piece they are looking for people without heavy tattooing, piercings, or "modern" hair. Hence a clean canvas to work with.
Let us know if you get in the film! We would love to hear how the whole process was and see your work!
