Man vs Machine

Early this morning on the Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show there was a heated debate about the possibility of robots evolving to the point of no longer needing humans to exist.

Eric Zane and Producer Joe support the idea that robots need human. Their argument based on the theory that robots can not program, build or power themselves. If a robot becomes aggressive or to independent all you have to do is pull the plug or take out the batteries. If Eric & Joe worked for N.O.V.A. they would dissemble Johnny 5.

Hot Wings, argues that robots are on there way up in the world and that eventually they will be able to program themselves, build other robots and be able to power themselves without humans. Some nerd called in and backed Hot Wings, referencing articles based on the subject and saying super genius stuff that I can not understand because I am not Newton Crosby. But I wish I was because young Ally Sheedy is so, so hot.

The nerdy callers did tip the scales in Hot Wings favor, explaining that artificial intelligence can further develop themselves by learning from older programming and creating new programs to run based on the corrections it had made from the previous programs.

The line had been drawn, you are ether with Zane and Producer Joe with the: You can pull the plug theory. Or you are with Hot Wings and the nerds with the: There will be free thinking robots or artificial intelligence, that can threaten our civilization.

I am not taking sides in this, just in case. However I have a concern.

As a comedian I have a special place in my heart for Poo Jokes. If robots take over the world there will be no use for Poo Jokes because robots do not poop. Even if a robot is programmed to find Poo Jokes amusing, they will eventually compute that there is no need for them because robots do not poop.

Robots reproduce so they will have dirty jokes, just with different parts.

If robots take over the world, it will be the end of Poo Jokes. Well this looks like a job for Dan America. So when the machines rise up and threaten the human race, I will be there to throw poo at them. For America.
