I still can't believe that someone would brutally hurt an innocent animal. What happened to Peaches is unfathomable. Back on June 29th, Patricia Waldron, Peaches' owner stabbed her dog several times and tried to decapitate her with a sword. She then left Peaches bleeding for hours. Fortunately, Peaches survived and we have an update on her progress.
When police arrived, they rushed Peaches to Catskill Animal Hospital for emergency surgery. She went through hours of intense surgical procedures to save her life and she survived. After surgeries and recovery, Peaches was released into a confidential foster home according to News 10 ABC. She is already doing amazing and expected to make a full recovery.
The President of the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA, Ron Perez, said:
Peaches’ recovery is remarkable. Her sutures should come out by the end of this week, and her next step will be her new forever home. We couldn’t be more thankful to our foster home and caregiver.
This is just proof that not just anyone should be able to have a dog. There should be an extensive background check whether you are getting it from a friend, breeder, or even a pet store. I can't believe that someone would be this cruel to a dog. Imagine that the owner actually took a sword to try and cut this poor dog's head off. Thank God she is going to be okay.
Patricia Waldron has been charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. She will have her day in court, but I believe she has a special place in hell.
