New Soundgarden Album and Tour Coming in 2012

2012 appears to be the year with lots of new music from rock artists.   Expect new stuff from Shinedown and The Foo Fighters, now add Soundgarden to the list.  Chris Cornell said that a new Soundgarden record will be out in the Spring of 2012, followed by a tour.  
Chris Cornell stated a new album is about “three quarters of the way there.” He doesnt see the new album being Soundgarden going back to its roots and the new record  “nostalgic” nor “retro ”.

Soundgarden has always been so eclectic, to me, it’s a continuation or in a sense it’s almost like picking up where we left off.

Expect a full fledged Soundgarden tour after the new album comes out in the Spring!
