New York State Parks Offering Discounted 2018 Empire Pass Cards

This card will get you into over 250 state parks for an entire year and right now you can get yours on the cheap!

So I know that winter is fast approaching and you may not necessarily be planning an outing in the great outdoors in the immediate future. However, if you are planning on checking out any state parks, historic sites, recreational trails, boat launches, and such in New York State in 2018 then you might want to get in on this deal.

The Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation began offering the Empire Pass Card this year, a change from previous years where you could purchase a decal for your car for a yearly rate but the pass was tied to one vehicle. The Empire Pass not only gets you access to more than 250 state parks, historic sites, recreational trails, boat launches and other places but it is not tied to your car and according to syracuse.com it can be shared by the owner with family members and others!

The cards are regularly $80 but are currently being offered at a discounted price of just $65. It could cost you that to visit just 4 state parks. The discount is available until March 31st after which the price will go pack up to $80. You can get yours now online only by visiting  www.parks.ny.gov until January when they will be available inside the parks.
