No Satisfaction for New York on Rescheduled Rolling Stones Tour
The Rolling Stones have announced the rescheduled dates for their much anticipated 'No Filter' Tour which originally included a stop at Buffalo's Highmark Stadium but that show, the only expected in New York, is now officially cancelled and you have the Buffalo Bills to thank, kind of.
The Rolling Stones will be performing to tens of thousands of people in football stadiums around the United States from September 26th through November 20, 2021. Plotting such a tour during the NFL season poses several hurdles to clear and it's possible that the Buffalo Bills schedule was one of those hurdles.
Mick Jagger will turn 78 on Monday and Keith Richards will match him this December. With that in mind the Stones take 3 to 5 days off between shows further complicating the scheduling.
If you are holding tickets for the original date of June 6, 2020, you should expect correspondence with Ticketmaster. You will receive a refund if you choose but you could also get a 'priority offer' to a nearby show. Problem is the two closest shows to Buffalo are:
- Pittsburgh at Heinz Field on October 4th
- Detroit at Ford Field on November 15th
We want to thank you all for your patience during this very difficult and unprecedented time,” the Rolling Stones said in a statement. “All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled dates, unfortunately, there are a few dates that we were unable to reschedule - Ticketmaster will communicate directly with all purchasers of these tickets with more information. Where feasible, a priority offer for ticketholders will be available for nearby shows. - The Rolling Stones
