New York State Police are actively investigating a crime that allegedly took place On Wednesday February 19, 2025 in Cayuga County. This crime involves 2 buses, a fire, vandalism and a cryptic message.

Take a look at several pictures below to see the damage caused to these buses which have been used by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) but are privately owned. You will see the message spray painted on the side of the but "Can you hear us now".

On February 19th, according to a press release, New York State Police received a report of vandalism to 2 buses. These buses are typically used to transport incarcerated individuals who are currently in the custody of DOCCS.

As you can see in these pictures the fire caused a tremendous amount of damage. The two seats in this next picture have been melted, charred and destroyed by what appears to be a fire.

The buses involved in this case are not owned by the DOCCS but rather a separate company which is contracted by DOCCS. These 2 buses were parked in a storage lot on State Route 370 in the town of Victory, New York.
