The One Thing All New Yorkers Need To Practice More Before Election Day
Ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election there is one things that most New Yorkers need to keep top of mind. Will you?
Is anyone else just completely burnt out on politics? One side says this, the other side says that. It is exhausting. I've debated taking a full on social media break, but unfortunately this stuff spills over to real life.
People are repping political candidates like they're rooting for a sports team. I think that should be something that stops in general because you have neighbors hanging giant flags and signs battling with each other. It's not healthy for anyone to be living like this.
I will say that I think that it is important that everyone gets out to vote this election season. You have the right and you should make sure to exercise it. I also don't think it's going to be the end of the world if your chosen candidate loses. It's four years and then onto the next one.
Families are fighting each other over politics. People have to walk on eggshells in their own homes. When will that end?
What I am asking the people of the Capital Region and beyond to do this election season is the just be kind to one another. Stop calling each other names. Stop with the insults. We even have the political candidates themselves trading childish insults as if they're on the playground. Trump does it, and so does Harris. Don't come at me. They both need to mature.
Let's take a minute and remember we all have to live with each other. These people in charge will come and go, but family and friendships are forever and there is no need to have stupid arguments over things you can't control.
