Anyone who's anyone in pop culture in the realm of fictional characters has a balloon in the parade. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has included character staples like Spongebob Squarepants and Mickey Mouse for the past decade or two, which is nothing compared to the 41 years Snoopy has under his belt.

Unless you're one of the millions of people who arrives in NYC at 5am wearing a diaper just to be shoved together tighter than a pack of sardines, the parade typically only creates positive memories...
