The Transportation Safety Administration has blogged about their weekly findings of prohibited items since 2008. Heck, just last week they found 30 firearms that were in luggage; 27 of them loaded. With that in mind, the TSA has now taken to Instagram to further promote what you cannot bring on a plane.

Take a look at the photos below - Firearms, Knives made to look as firearms, fireworks, stun guns, etc. This is just an example of the people attempt to bring on a plane.

TSA Blogger Bob Burns talk with USA Today:

Unfortunately these sorts of occurrences are all too frequent which is why we talk about these find

The TSA not only has a blog but a Twitter account with more than 30,000 followers and now the new Instagram account with 39,000 plus follower. Burns continued by saying:

(that posting the photos is a way) to share the things that our officers are finding, but at the same time, each time we find a dangerous item, the throughput is slowed down and a passenger that likely had no ill intent ends up with a citation or in some cases is even arrested. The passenger can face a penalty as high as $7,500.00. This is a friendly reminder to please leave these items at home.
